Contact usThe workshop has brought together natural and social scientists, policy makers, and native users to develop a science plan that identifies priorities for research on the human role in reindeer and caribou systems. The meetings took place 10-14 February 1999 at the Arctic Centre in Rovaniemi, Finland. This workshop was a follow-up to the International Arctic Science Committee's Conference on Arctic Research Planning and has been organized (with support from IASC, the US National Science Foundation, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the Trust for Mutual Understanding) by the working group on the dynamics of arctic populations and ecosystems. We invite input from all those interested in the issues discussed in and related to the conference.
