Research interests:I'm interested in the decline in the domesticated reindeer population and the decline in reindeer herding among the south Siberian reindeer herding communities: The Tozhu-Tyva, the Tofa, the Soyot; and the Tuha (Dukha) of Mongolia.
Current research:October 1999-present: Ph.D. dissertation fieldwork (anthropology) among the Tozhu-Tyva reindeer herders and hunters. Sept 2000-present: Project Anthropologist on the Altai-Sayan Language and Ethnography Project.
